VOLUNTEERS FOR ALL POSITIONS MUST TAKE THE BRIEF ONLINE COURSE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. Selecting the position name from the DESCRIPTION LIST will take you to the course.
Due Date: Volunteer team assignments MUST be filled by 9PM, Friday, July 17th.
Team Assignments: We have made our best effort, so all assignments are balanced according to team sizes (as of the third meet of the season) to encourage equal participation in the Championship.
Arrival Time & Check-in: Volunteers and coaches MUST arrive based at their assigned time and check-in at the volunteer table located in the Main Lobby of the Brooks YMCA. At check-in volunteers will receive a badge that will need to be worn at all times. If you are a Marshal, you will receive a vest to wear.
THERE IS A 25 POINT PENALTY assessed against teams for each unfilled position or for volunteers showing up late or leaving early.
Champs Volunteers will receive a reminder email which will serve as your parking pass. It must be printed out, shown for entry to the Y parking, and displayed on the driver's side dash. Cars without a pass parked at the Y are subject to towing.
- If you will be working all day, proceed past the circle and park in the small lot next to the Y or proceed down the road toward the lower ball fields.
- If you are working during one session only, park before the traffic circle.
- If not working, you MUST park in the Charlottesville High School Parking Lot or move your car there if you work in the morning, but not the afternoon session. Violators are subject to towing.
- The pass is only valid for the session in which you are working and is for your use only. It must not be shared with anyone.
- Your pass is not a guarantee that there will be open parking spaces at all times.
All jobs are for the FULL session and are not split. ONLY ONE VOLUNTEER may fill any one position, there will be relief workers scheduled for rotations.
